The inscriptions on the ring along the rim - on top: "СТО РУБЛЕЙ" (ONE HUNDRED RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the metal sign and fineness, in the centre - year of issue: "2008 г." (2008), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

The reverse: in the foreground on the disc - the fortress walls and the Holy Gate with the Theodor Stratilat Gate Church, behind them - the Trinity Cathedral, to the right - Raspyatskaya Bell Tower, in the background - Intercession and Assumption Churches, on the ring below - the inscription along the rim: "АЛЕКСАНДРОВ" (ALEXANDROV).

The Town of Alexandrov (in the XIVth century was known as "Alexandrovskaya Sloboda" - means large village) in 1564-1581 was the centre of Oprichnina (special repressive system of Ivan the Terrible). That time his residence was located there. Now days the architectural monuments of Alexandrov are part of the national museum "Alexandovskaya Sloboda".
