Description

The obverse: on the disc the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower the semicircular inscription Ȼ (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots, the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right the fine metal content. The inscriptionson the ring along the rim: at the top ɻ (ONE HUNDRED RUBLES), at the bottom the year of issue 2004, the letters the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

The reverse: on the disc to the left the Church of St.Dmitry On the Blood (XVIIth century), to the right the bell tower and the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Our Saviour, in the background the Czarevitch Dmitrys Chambers. The inscription at the bottom on the ring along the rim ׻ (UGLICH).

On May 15, 1591 Czarevitch Dmitry went west in the Uglich Kremlin under inscrutable circumstances. This fact had a fataland tragic consequence for Russia that initiated so cold troublous times in the country.
